Miguel Angel Angulo is the new player of Sporting

The Spanish international Miguel Angel Angulo is the further strengthening of Sporting. The advanced 32 years old, originally from Valencia, you can also play as attacking midfielder and will be this Sunday in Lisbon to meet medical tests, after the Lions reached agreement with the Spanish club. Paulo Bento will thus more a solution to the attack, at a time when the squad is facing several limitations to this sector.

Angulo was out of the plans of coach Unai Emery, for this season, and was to train the rest of the squad. With ten games for Spain, Angulo had fallen into disgrace in Valencia at the end of 2007, when then-coach Quique Flores has been replaced by Ronald Koeman. The Dutch then took not rely on some historical squad "che", with Albelda, Canizares and Angulo own. The sacking of Dutch coach in April 2008 allowed him to play again, though never regaining the status of reference.

In 14 years of presence in Valencia, Angulo won two leagues in Spain and two King's Cups, and a UEFA Cup and one European Super Cup in 2004.
