O Sporting Clube de Portugal é um clube multi-desportivo português, fundado em 1906. Nas diversas modalidades presente, é o clube português que mais títulos conquistou e o segundo com mais títulos na Europa. Nos mais de cem anos de história do clube, já se praticaram 34 modalidades, sendo que 12 encontram-se suspensas ou foram extintas. Conhecido principalmente pela equipa de futebol, desporto de maior projecção nacional, o Sporting é um dos três clubes mais importantes do país.

João Moutinho: "We have made a great display"

João Moutinho, captain of Sporting, in statements to journalists on the lawn of the Jamor stadium, after the victory in the final of the Cup of Portugal:

"It is always thus, this celebration. We have made a great display. Congratulations to the direction, the club and the fans. Liedson is a very important piece in our team, unfortunately can not be here today. This victory is also for him, we will be with Liedson to give the Cup. "
