Zé Castro may be alternative

The Portuguese, Zé Castro, of Atlético de Madrid, is to prevent the possibility of the Sporting not reach agreement with AC Milan to ensure the continuity of the initial side Grimi.

Although they all agreed with the Argentine left-side, the "lions" aren't prepared to pay 4 million euros established for the exercise of the option clause, valid until Monday.

Negotiations to lower the funds have proved difficult, so the Sporting sought alternatives. The first was Zé Castro, a center that is unhappy at Atlético de Madrid and now before joining the colchoneros interest to the "lions".

The leaders of Sporting already contacted the entrepreneur Nuno Patrão, representative of the defence - which in Portuguese League, has 54 games and 1 goal for Académica - and asked him not to make commitments without first consulting the Sporting.
