Abel: "We want to do better than in last season"

Abel motivated returned from vacation and is eager to step on grass. Doing better than the last season is the goal set by the defence of Sporting.

"Doing a season higher than last, gradually, but with well defined objectives", argues Abel, keen to make the best of themselves for the Sporting win all the competitions at home and, if possible, go further in the Champions : "We are building an initial accordingly. Already last year pointed out as targets winning all competitions. Logically, the UEFA Champions League would be a championship aside, because we knew we had teams with another type of potential. But in terms of domestic competitions, we fought to win. I believe that we will do better this year than in last season."

Abel praises Rochemback and Hélder Postiga, reinforcements of "lions": "Above all, are players who know well the reality of Portuguese football. One of them [Rochemback] already played in Sporting, the other [Postiga] is still young, with enormous potential, but certainly will have time to adapt. They are players of claims signed and I am sure that come to help the group."
